If it hurts the Earth or all living souls, we will never do it

Our Planet is plagued by environmental problems that deplete natural resources and strain livelihoods, many of which are exacerbated by irresponsible industrial practices.

In most of the countries where fashion related garments and fibers are globally produced, they contribute to different forms of environmental pollution, including water, air, and soil pollution.

Overproduction of clothing, the use of synthetic fibers, untreated toxic waste waters from textiles factories dumped directly into rivers, the agricultural pollution of fashion crops, the amount of clothing being thrown away each year and the amount of water needed to produce each of the piece are one of the main causes of this global problem.

We believe it is our responsibility to act now, knowing that as brands and consumers, with every dollar that we spend today, we determine the world we want to live in tomorrow.

Here at DJANGORO we are committed to our Planet, you, us and our future.

Majority of fashion company's environmental impact starts with the choice of material

We are committed to always use sustainable and earth friendly material.

Econyl® nylon is 100% regenerated from pre & post consumer waste such as discarded fishing nets, fabric scraps and industrial plastic components from landfills and oceans.

Every 10.000 tons of Econyl®

saves 70.000 barrels of crude oil & avoids 57.100 tonnes of CO2 eq. emissions

making it not only one of the solutions to reduce waste, but to also reduce the global warming impact of nylon by up to 80% compared with the material from oil.

Our first collection of leggings and bras is made entirely from Econyl®.

Reaching more than 100 feet in height, bamboo is the largest member of the grass family and the fastest growing woody plant in the world. The high growth rate of bamboo and the fact that bamboo can grow in diverse climates makes the bamboo plant a sustainable and versatile resource. Because it grows quickly, there is no need for pesticides or fertilizers, making the fabric smooth and hypoallergenic - perfect for those who experience allergic reaction to other natural fibers.

To prevent waste and pieces of clothing being unused, we produce our collections in small volumes.

If some of our pieces become unsold, we guarantee to bring them back in the future months with new collections.

We order our fabric responsibly to ensure we use it all. All cuts that were left behind are used to make other pieces and the small ones are recycled again.

From time to time we will offer factory seconds' products and items that are not to full price standards for sale to simply limit producing unnecessary waste. The pieces are of small dents, usually even hard to notice - label care printed wrong is the main example. We sell these pieces in lower price and always mark them as factory seconds.

Our recycled fabric is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified - This means that the finished fiber has been tested for any chemicals that may be harmful to a person’s health and has been found to contain no trace chemicals that pose any health threat whatsoever.

We are always open to new ideas and searching for new fabric. As we grow we plan to produce varieties of products made from sustainable fabric in near future such as recycled polyester, organic cotton, TENCEL™ Lyocell and other. We will always stay true to our vision and make only clothing that doesn't cost the Earth.

If your leggings have been made in unfair conditions, you can't say they are beautiful

We are committed to never work with manufacturer who would not meet our standards of fair trade, minimum waste and 100 % transparency.

We select our production facilities carefully, based on their expertise and the standard of their working conditions, we visit and audit them once a year to make sure they share our values and meet our standards imposed by selected certifications we have selected.

Rather than looking at “made in” we ask the real questions: Made how? Under what conditions? We realised the country in which the garments are produced doesn't always say much about how the clothing was made. We found good factories in Asia, not up to standard ones in Europe or America and vice versa. We never want to hide anything behind the "Made in" label and are open to answer any questions about our manufacturing techniques.

Our first collection was manufactured in Indonesia, in an established factory operating for almost 30 years, with a team of highly skilled technical staff, seamstresses & pattern makers, studio managers & merchandisers. What is also interesting is that the factory is run by women, untypical in Indonesia. Once the fabric is ready and cut, our leggings and tops take about 2-3 hours for one person to make with other person assisting. Every member of stuff making our clothing was paid fair salary and we also have certificate showing the employer has paid health insurance.

Our future goal is to find a way how to produce our clothing closer to where the fabric is coming from. We order Econyl from Italy and are committed to find a way how to produce our collections from recycled nylon responsibly in Europe to limit transit of fabric between continents (carbon, carbon!). We are open to work with variety of manufacturers to find the best solution to make productions in the most kind way to our Planet as well.

The ultimate goal? Our own factory in Europe!

It's hard to do everything perfectly in the company's beginnings, but we can say from the bottom of our heart we try our best and are excited to see what future brings as we grow. One thing is for sure and always - we will never compromise safety and fair working conditions of people making our products.

Fashion industry is one of the major polluting industries in the World

We are always committed to create all of our pieces with earth friendly materials, limit unnecessary waste, create sustainable manufacturing techniques and say no to highly synthetic fabrics, toxic use and waste.

Taking care and protecting planet on this level is crucial, but there is more to be done on the way to sustainability.

You will receive your order in a fully biodegradable mailer, which could be mistaken for a plastic one - but don't get confused - our mailer is food for worms. Just put it in with your food scraps or garden waste and you might even get flowers growing out of it.

Plastic is something you will never see with us.

For labelling and mailing, we use recycled and/or FSC certified material.

We are not only committed to people, but all living souls sharing this planet with us. We simply do not believe it is necessary to use or harm animals to produce fashion items, as well as we are aware of the environmental impact of animal agriculture. We are committed to never use any parts of animals for our clothing, including leather, silk, feathers or wool.

This will happen in long, long time! Our pieces will last long way.

Once the time comes, we will happily accept old pieces of our clothing - no matter what conditions they are in, and will take responsibility to recycle them, turn them into something new and prevent them from ending up where they do not belong. For every item you send us, we will gift you 20% off your next purchase.

If you wish to send us our old pieces back, or you would like more information about what to do with your used clothing, please email We will guide you from there!

We are still a small company as of now, in it's humble yet beautiful beginnings. We produce minimum waste in our office these days, if none at all. We know that as we grow, this might change. We always recycle all we can or find a way how to reuse items again and plan to do so in future no matter what it brings. Planet will always be in our mind with everything we do.

Please do not hesitate to contact us shall you have any questions regarding our sustainable practices. Always here to answer!
